The machine was designed for sharpening the band saws in a semi-automatic cycle. Changing the tooth parameters is made manually. The disk-type grinding wheel is supplied by an electric engine, whereas the feed of the saw is supplied by a gear-motor. The smooth adjustment of the grinding wheel (up-down) makes it possible to set different heights of the tooth; the size of the tooth pitch is normally adapted for a 22 mm pitch (other pitches have to be ordered individually).

The machine is equipped with a cam which allows achieving various modifications of the tooth profile by setting different locations of the skimmer.

One turn of the cam closes the sharpening cycle of one tooth. 

The sharpener is equipped with a pump cooling a tooth during the sharpening process.

The machine has to be positioned stably or fixed to the floor.
